The Homathko Valley was carved by glacial rivers and is surrounded by some of the most remote wilderness in British Columbia. This solid wood bed frame, carries that same character. Wild at the edges, natural to the core, and shaped by the land it comes from. Each headboard follows the natural silhouette of the tree, no two beds are alike.

All beds are custom made in Canada to order. Whether you need a queen, king, or a non-standard size we can accommodate it. A 50% deposit secures your commission slot; the remainder is due upon delivery. Delivery within BC can be arranged.
The live edge headboard
The defining feature of the Homathko is its headboard. Preserving the exact silhouette of the tree each headboard is shaped and finished by hand. The bark edge, the knots, the sweep of the grain: all of it stays. The result is a piece that could only have come from one particular tree, from one particular forest.
BC Douglas fir
Douglas fir is one of the strongest softwoods in the world, with a warm reddish-brown grain that deepens with age. Every board used in the Homathko is locally sourced in British Columbia. The same forests visible from the studio window.

Care
Wipe with a lightly damp cloth. Douglas fir will darken and enrich naturally over decades, adding to its beauty and unique grain patterns.

We discuss your space, size requirements, and any custom details. Available year-round.
A 50% deposit secures your slot. Studio builds run May through October — only 15 beds per year.
Your bed takes shape in the studio at Tatlayoko Lake. Build time is typically 6–10 weeks.
Delivery within BC can be arranged. Your bed arrives ready to assemble.
